The Venice Commission to hold an exchange of views on the law on freedom of religious faith of Azerbaijan.
The Commission is invited to hold an exchange of views with Shahin Aliyev, Head of Department of Legislation and Legal Expertise, Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and to examine, with a view to adoption, the draft joint opinion (CDL(2012)066) by the Venice Commission and the OSCE/ODIHR, on the law on freedom of religious faith of Azerbaijan (as amended) (CDL-REF(2012)030) drawn up on the basis of comments by Mr Djeric and Ms Thorgeirsdottir.
The Sub-Commission on Fundamental Rights will examine this draft opinion at its meeting on 11 October 2012.
