“ASAN” Service starts issuing digital signatures

A registration center for electronic digital signatures (EDS) was created at the first “ASAN” Service, Data Processing Center (DPC) of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies informed Trend.

A registration center for electronic digital signatures (EDS) was created at the first "ASAN" Service, Data Processing Center (DPC) of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies informed Trend.

As stated by the DPC, the electronic signature certificate is created immediately after receipt of the application at the Registration Center, and the owner of the digital signature is notified at his address.

An owner can get his EDS directly at "ASAN".

The service of receiving applications for a digital signature in the "ASAN Service" is available to all citizens regardless of their place of residence.

According to the DPC, the total number of electronic digital signatures issued by the National Certification Center is more than 10 million units.

A decree on the establishment of the State Agency for public services and social innovations ("ASAN Service") under the President of Azerbaijan was signed by the president in July 2012. The first "ASAN" Service center opened on January 15, 2013.

The State Agency created to increase transparency in government agencies, providing more high-quality, convenient services for citizens by applying new methods and modern innovation, observing ethical rules and politeness, considering the necessity to meet citizens' demands, improvement of the provided services and acceleration of the transition to electronic services.
