Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb.20
By Huseyn Valiyev - Trend:

Japan has offered to pass on its latest technology DATA-Analytics for the automatic detection of offenses using urban security cameras to Azerbaijan, a source at the telecommunications market of Azerbaijan told Trend on Feb.20.

This proposal was put forward during a visit of an NEC corporation delegation to Baku last week.

Smart system DATA-Analytics allows the automatic processing of video material and warns of possible risks. The system is able to analyse and identify unusual activity and suspicious behaviour of a person and to detect threats in advance.

Currently, smart system cameras for defining biometric indicators of a person have been installed at the entrances of Baku metro stations.

As part of ensuring security at the Baku Metro, 4000 security cameras have been installed. The introduction of a video surveillance system has significantly reduced cases of public order violations.
