Georgian satellite operator "IveriaSat" is expanding the number of television and radio channels being broadcast via Azerbaijani satellite "Azerspace-1".
In particular, the broadcasting of the Georgian TV and radio company "Abkhazetis Khma" and "Radio Dardimandi" radio station has started through the Azerbaijani satellite, a source in the Georgian telecommunication market told Trend.
The "IveriaSat" company also carries out broadcasting of such Georgian TV channels as "Ertsulovneba", "Comedy Arkhi", "Vip TV" (Georgia), "Trialeti", "Dia TV" (Georgia), "Quality Channel", "1 TV" (Georgia), "Obieqtivi TV", "Maestro", "Rustavi 2", "Imedi TV", "Ajara TV", "TV3", "GDS TV" and "2 TV" (Georgia) through Azerbaijani satellite.
Furthermore"Vitex" television package which includes Georgian TV channels such as "Dia TV", "Ertsulovneba", "Meore Arkhi", "Vip TV HD", "Comedy TV Georgia", "Trialeti TV ","TV 3 Georgia","GDS"and "Quality Channel HD" is available via satellite "Azerspace-1".
Total number of broadcast TV and radio channels via "Azerspace-1" satellite exceeds 90. The satellite is located at the orbital position of 46 degrees east longitude.
In order to watch the content, a user satellite antennas should be set as follows: Frequency - 11169 MHz, speed: 20400, polarization - Horizontal and FEC - 5/6.
Azerbaijan launched its first telecommunications satellite Azerspace-1 on February 8, 2013. The satellite is designed to provide digital TV, data transmission services, the creation of multi-service VSAT networks and to ensure government communications.
Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia and North Africa are included in the service area of Azerspace/Africasat-1a.
