International company prepares activity conception for Azerbaijan’s "High-Tech Park"

The proposals for the construction project of the "High-Tech Park" in Azerbaijan will be prepared within a few months, Deputy Minister of Communications and High Technologies Elmir Valizade said.

The work is underway to develop an activity conception for the "High-Tech Park," the deputy minister told Trend.

The international consulting company Commit, which conducts research on the formation of the infrastructure necessary for the effective functioning of the Technopark, is participating in the project.

"High-Tech Park" will be built in the Pirallahi district of Baku. Some 50 hectares of land has been allocated for construction of the park.

The technical process on the transfer of land for construction of the industrial park is at the final stage. Several design options have been prepared, and after evaluation, work on laying the foundation will begin.

Administrative and residential buildings will be built in Technopark. An incubation center, mini-factories for the production of high-tech products, etc. will be created at the park.
High-Tech Park LLC passed the state registration. Azerbaijani State Committee for Property Issues approved the charter of the park and meetings were held with potential foreign investors and companies.

With the beginning of the park's activities the ICT spheres will expand and the creation of modern research facilities and development of new information technologies will be provided. The park will play an important role in the sustainable development of the economy and competitiveness.
