"Azerkosmos" JSC announced quotation for attacting consulting services.
Quotation is being conducted with the purpose to choose the legal, technical, commercial and financial consulting services.
The proposals are accepted until May 5, 2014.
JSC "Azerkosmos" is subordinate to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and High Technologies. The decree on the establishment of the facility was signed by the head of state on May 3, 2010.
The main objectives of "Azerkosmos" are launching satellites to orbit, managing them and conducting maintenance work.
Azerbaijan's first telecommunications satellite Azerspace/Africasat-1a was launched in February 8, 2013.
The satellite is designed to render digital television and data transmission services, provide creation of multiservice VSAT networks and ensure government communications.
Azerspace/Africasat-1a satellite's service area includes countries in Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa.
The second communication satellite "Azerspace-2" is scheduled to be launched in 2017. Azercosmos JSC's long-term plans include launching a low-Earth orbit satellite in 2016. The second telecommunications satellite of Azerbaijan will also be designed to provide digital broadcasting, internet access, data transmission, creation of multiservice VSAT networks and so on.
