On Thursday Andreas Gross, the Council of Europe (CoE) rapporteur on Azerbaijan, head of the elections monitoring bloc, and his delegation will tour Ganja, a regional correspondent of Trend reports.
The key objective of the visit is to get familiar with the preparations for different political parties on the eve of the forthcoming elections, the appraisal of the situation, visits to relevant constituencies and polling stations.
Under the visit Gross will hold meetings with the organization leaders of political parties. The 2-hour meeting will focus on problems the sides face and the ways for their resolution and determine their standpoints in this respect. Besides, the co-chairs are planned to meet members of local NGOs, women organizations and media representatives.
