Рђtasanaye, a member of Ata Holding group of companies, has temporarily ceased the commencement of construction of the macaroni factory in Khachmaz, north Azerbaijan, originally scheduled for August, Trend reports.
The company said that currently all efforts were directed at the completion of the Shemkiraqroistehsalat plant specialized in the output of chicken products. В"So, we want to set up the construction of macaroni factory late September,В" the same source noted.
The factory will function as a joint venture. At present relevant talks are held with an Italian company Fava, which will dispatch its representatives to Baku in September. The factory will work on Italian equipment, while the Italian brand will be placed on the products.
70% of the entire macaroni output will be exported under the brand of Azerbaijan.
Annual production capacity of the factory with the project cost of approximately $5m will comprise 10,000-12,000 tons. Around 150 people will provided with jobs at the enterprise to be put in exploitation in mid-2006.
