The Azerbaijani Transport Ministry, Road Transport Service Department and adviser-engineers of PASSILO company of Iran jointly with the representatives from the executive powers of the southern regions held a seminar on "Appraisal of the environmental impact of the project implementation" in Lankaran on Saturday.
The Executive Power of the Lankaran Executive Power told Trend the seminar focused the implementation of the project in reconstruction and construction of the Four-stripe Alat вЂ"Astara road, which takes 243km-section of the Baku-Astara route, as well as the feasibility study and projection of the new automobile bridge under the Astara River.
Nazim Gaismov, the head of the Technical Department of the Road Transport Service Department of the Transport Ministry, officials of the PASSILO consulting-engineering company of Iran, Ismayil Nuri and Javanshir Hassan, provided detail information on the implementation of the project. The same time representatives from the Executive Powers of Jalilabad, Masally, Lankaran and Astara, put forward some proposals on the project.
The 243km-long Baku-Astara automobile route will enable to reduce the rte from Baku to Astara by 70-km. The width of the road is 28.2m.
