Photo exhibition "Azerbaijan and Europe: Competitors in Sport, Partners for Peace" dedicated to the 21st anniversary of the country's joining the NATO program "Partnership for Peace", as well as the first European Games to be held in Baku in 2015 has been organized in the NATO headquarters in Brussels, the Mission of Azerbaijan to NATO said June 1.

The photo exhibition was organized by the Mission of Azerbaijan to NATO and the Brussels office of The Europe-Azerbaijan Society.

The exhibition features photographs reflecting various aspects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO, including political dialogue, contribution to NATO operations, emergency planning, public diplomacy and defense cooperation.

The photo contest, organized by The Europe-Azerbaijan Society to promote the first European Games, was attended by 50 photographers from 10 countries. Some 65 best photos were presented at the photo exhibition at the headquarters of NATO.

At the exhibition, video footage on Baku 2015 First European Games was played and related publications were distributed.

Baku 2015 is the first-ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent that will take place on June 12-28, 2015.

There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.

Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
