Azerbaijan's Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC intends to make $500 million worth of investment in Turkey's economy, Akkord's country director for Turkey, Nurgun Calbiyik said.
Calbiyik said that currently, Akkord's Turkish division employs over 1,000 people, Turkish Milliyet newspaper reported on Sept.22.
He said Akkord's Turkish division is implementing two projects worth of $300 million in the mining industry.
Increasing the volume of investments in Turkey's economy by 2016 is among the priorities for the corporation, according to Calbiyik.
"Azerbaijan's construction corporation also intends to implement a number of projects in Libya, Syria and Palestine", Calbiyik said.
