The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported about 1.22 million metric tons of petroleum products from its own oil refineries in Jan.-Sept. 2014, compared to over 799,730 metric tons in the same period of 2013, according to a message from SOCAR.

The company exported around 1.04 million metric tons of petroleum products from its own oil refineries in 2013, compared to over 1.24 million metric tons in 2012.

Oil products are produced at two Baku oil refineries with a total capacity of 16 million metric tons of oil per year. Both oil refineries belong to SOCAR, which annually processes approximately seven million metric tons of oil, extracted from onshore and offshore fields with SOCAR's own funds.

The table below shows the exported oil products:

The volumes of vehicle fuel production and consumption in Azerbaijan became equal in 2013, which explains why the vehicle fuel exports are minimized.

Azerbaijan exports considerable part of its petroleum products to Georgia.
