The Azerbaijani Trend Agency and the Bulgarian Focus News Agency signed an agreement on cooperation and information exchange Nov. 4.

The document was signed by Trend director general Ilgar Huseynov and Focus president Krasimir Uzunov.

The sides will maintain regular exchange of relevant information-analytical articles about the political, economic, social and cultural-humanitarian situation in Azerbaijan and Bulgaria. The sides also agreed to exchange relevant news about Central Asia and the Balkans, according to the agreement.

FOCUS is the first Bulgarian private information agency and has been working since 2000. It offers news in Bulgarian and in English 24 hours a day.

This information agency is the main source of information for the local and regional media. The agency has 25 radio stations throughout Bulgaria. FOCUS has correspondents and works with the media in the capital cities of all the Balkan states.

Founded in 1995 as a private media outlet in Azerbaijan, Trend Agency is a leading news provider in the Caucasus, Caspian and Central Asian region. Trend has English, Russian, Azerbaijani, Farsi, and Arabic news services, covering virtually the entire global audience. The services are focused on regional news, particularly from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Trend's main office is located in Baku - Azerbaijan's capital.
