Some $2.56 million were spent in January-June 2015 for social responsibility projects conducted as part of the projects that are operated in Azerbaijan by the British company BP, which is 2 times more than in the same period of 2014 ($1.24 million), the company's report said.
The British company's report covered its work in Azerbaijan between January and June 2015.
The costs within the development of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block of Azerbaijani offshore fields in the first half of 2015 totalled $0.28 million, the gas and condensate field Shah Deniz in the same period stood at $0.28 million, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines - at $0.55 million.
BP, which participates in all these energy projects, spent some $1.46 million within its own social responsibility projects.
In 2014, some $5.87 million was spent on social responsibility projects, operated by British BP in Azerbaijan, which is 2.6 times higher than the costs of the company in 2013.
