The severe Internet loss in Azerbaijan that took place Nov.16, didn't affect the working process on the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of oil fields and the Shah Deniz gas condensate field, the head of the press service of BP Azerbaijan Tamam Bayatli told Trend Nov.17.

She said that Internet problems didn't affect the company's operations.

"Production and other workflows at the ACG and Shah Deniz were held at a normal pace," said Bayatli. "No problems in this regard were observed. The office work was slightly affected by the Internet loss, as it happened mainly in the evening."

Azerbaijan lost nearly all of its internet connection at approximately 16:15 (UTC/GMT +4 hours) Nov.16 due to technical issues.

The problems occurred as a result of the fire at the lines connected to the DATA-center of Delta Telecom, Mushviq Amirov, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communication and IT, told Trend.
