Azerbaijani mobile operator Azerfon LLC (Nar trademark) has launched the LTE network (4G), the company told Trend Nov.20.

Taking the network enlargement as its key priority, Nar offers to its customers 412 (4G) and 2029 (3G) base stations, which is the largest LTE and HSDPA+ network of Azerbaijan.

Currently, in addition to above-mentioned 3G and 4G base stations, Nar also offers 2932 (2G) operating base stations that ensure the existence of the largest mobile network.

Kent McNeley, CEO of the Azerfon Company said that the provision of the largest LTE network in Azerbaijan is a great achievement for Nar.

"We are very proud to present the 4G technology and our expanded network to the entire Azerbaijan," said McNeley. "In only 2 years, we have succeeded to expand our network more than 2 times. While bringing the number of base stations enabling 4G network to 412, we managed not to apply additional payments to our customers for using LTE network. Next year, Nar is planning to extend LTE network further and present LTE Advanced Technology (LTE-A)."

Nar is presenting the highest speed, largest coverage for affordable prices. Nar customers will not face any additional charges for using its LTE network. Currently Nar 4G Network supports internet with up to 225 Mbps download speed capability. For using the superfast 4G-internet connection no need to change your current SIM card. Nar customers could get benefit of 4G technology via selection of the 4G network on their LTE capability smartphone.

Currently, the service is also offered by the other two mobile operators in the country - Bakcell and Azercell.
