Azerbaijan, Belarus become leaders in project implementation under EU initiative

Azerbaijan and Belarus were selected leading countries on implementation of e-trade and e-customs projects prepared under the Declaration on Harmonizing the EU’s and Eastern Рartners’ Digital Markets (HDM Initiative)

Azerbaijan and Belarus were selected leading countries on implementation of e-trade and e-customs projects prepared under the Declaration on Harmonizing the EU's and Eastern Рartners' Digital Markets (HDM Initiative), the director of the Regional Information Technologies Academy (RITA) Tofig Babayev told Trend Dec.17.

HDM Initiative consists of 14 important aspects, including the creation of legislation, customs, software for trading and so on.

Babayev said that major projects to be financed by the European Union in 2016-2017 are being currently identified within the HDM Initiative.

Earlier, Azerbaijan prepared six project proposals in accordance with HDM Initiative, which were presented for funding

The projects prepared in six areas of HDM Initiative - e-customs, e-commerce, e-business, e-security, etc., will be further implemented in Azerbaijan.

HDM Initiative envisages the creation of a unified digital space, the digital market at a broad level, so that entrepreneurs could have a single numeric field for the trading and settlements.
