Cash in circulation decreases in Azerbaijan

The money supply rate (M2) (cash in circulation (outside banks) and remainders in the domestic currency on accounts of non-financial organizations, financial (excluding credit) organizations and physical entities) decreased by over than half in December 2015 compared to December 2014, the Azerbaijani Central Bank's report as of the results of 2015 said.

The money supply rate (M2) amounted in December 2015 decreased by 4.8 percent compared to the previous month, according to the report.

The money supply rate (M2) amounted to 8.613.1 billion manats as of 2015 compared to 9.050 billion manats as of November 2015 and 17.435.8 billion manats as of January 1, 2015, according to the report.

The amount of cash money supply (M0) decreased by 2.13 times and amounted to 4.775.9 billion manats compared to 10.152.5 billion manats as of late December 2014. M0 decreased by 7.7 percent in December 2015 compared to late November.

As of December2015, Broad Money Supply (M3) totaled 21.318.6 billion manats or 1.1 percent less compared to the same period in 2014 (21.566.4 billion manats) and by 22.2 percent more as of late November 2015 (17.444.5 billion manats).

The transaction money (M1) decreased by 46.2 percent during a year and amounted to 6.896.8 billion manats compared to 12.830.4 billion manats as of December 2014 and decreased by 1.2 percent compared to the previous month (6.896.8 billion manats).
