Drivers of vehicles temporarily entered Azerbaijan's territory will be able to extend the period of stay in the country via ASAN Service centers, Igbal Babayev, Chief of Main Department for Activity Assessment and Development Programs of the State Customs Committee, customs service Major-General, told Trend Feb. 16.
"In addition, entrepreneurs engaged in export or import of various products will be able to obtain the relevant certificate at these centers," he said.
Babayev noted that the discussion of the transfer of authorities for the provision of a part of customs services by ASAN Service centers were discussed recently at a meeting of the State Customs Committee's (SCC) management with ASAN Service.
"As the customs sphere is quite specific, we gave only a part of the functions to ASAN Service," said Babayev.
The SCC also continues work on integration of customs services to the e-government portal, extending payment opportunities of customs duties and other procedures via other services, according to him.
