SOCAR-AQS enterprise plans to drill six gas and 14 oil wells at the new platform No.7 on the Guneshli field, Head of Drilling Engineering Department of the company Elshan Ismayilov told Trend.
Currently, SOCAR-AQS conducts drilling work at the platforms No.7 and No.11 on 'Guneshli' field. Last year, the company fully completed the drilling at the platform No.13.
"This was the first field where we started drilling, and we have gained great experience here," said Ismayilov. "Moreover, we have introduced some innovations in the local drilling industry. SOCAR-AQS became namely the first national enterprise to drill a horizontal well."
He went on to add that drilling of the well No. 30 with a project depth of 4,000 meters is being currently carried at the platform No. 11.
"In addition, SOCAR-AQS has recently started drilling at a new platform No. 7 on the Guneshli field," Ismayilov said. "Here, the drilling will be carried out at two rigs at the same time. We plan to transfer well to customer as soon as possible and in compliance with all safety standards."
The launch of the new platform took place in March 2016. The platform is designed for drilling of 20 wells in total.
