Azerbaijan's agricultural output was worth 938.8 million manats in January-April 2016, or 3.2 percent more compared to the same period 2015, said the country's State Statistics Committee in a report May 20.
The official exchange rate is 1.4987 AZN/USD as of May 20.
Output in the country's livestock sector increased by 3.1 percent during the reporting period, and in the plant growing sector by 12.3 percent, said the report.
The sowing of spring plants began in Azerbaijan in the reporting period.
As of May 1, 2016, some 273,000 hectares have been sowed, which is 7.8 percent more than in the same period 2015.
