Russia’s Novorossiysk port increases oil transshipment

Russia’s Novorossiysk international sea trade port transshipped 47.6 million tons of oil in Jan.-July 2016 as compared to 44.08 million tons in the same period in 2015

Russia’s Novorossiysk international sea trade port transshipped 47.6 million tons of oil in Jan.-July 2016 as compared to 44.08 million tons in the same period in 2015, read a message posted on the port’s website Aug. 16.

During the period, Novorossiysk port transshipped 19.15 million tons of oil products as compared to 19.03 million tons in January-July 2015.

In total, 86.1 million tons of various cargoes were transshipped via the port in January-July 2016 as compared to 81.31 million tons in the same period in 2015.

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR transships its oil via the Novorossiysk port. The oil is delivered to the port via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
