The parliamentary election in Azerbaijan meets the international law and the representatives of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly have no special complaints over the election, the organization's secretary general Valery Chechelashvili told Trend.

GUAM PA representatives were observing the voting process in several polling stations of Baku and now are leaving for Sumgayit city to observe the election there, he added.

"The election is being held in accordance with the international law and the norms approved by the Azerbaijani CEC," said Chechelashvili.

It is very important that the local observers are active, he added.

The parliamentary election is being held in Azerbaijan Nov. 1.

Some 503 international observers from 40 organizations and over 66,000 local observers monitor the parliamentary election in Azerbaijan.

As many as 767 candidates claim for 125 seats in the Azerbaijani parliament.
