The Azermarka company of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology released a series of stamps devoted to the Eurovision 2012 song contest, the official website of the Ministry said on Tuesday.

A series of stamps includes two souvenir postal blocks and three blocks of six marks each. One of the souvenir postal blocks represents a special logo of the Eurovision 2012 contest - 'Fire Flower', the other - the logo of the contest against a background of the Palace of Shirvanshahs. The nominal value of stamps is 60 qepiks.

The other blocks, consisting of six stamps, depict the architectural buildings of Baku.

Price of stamps is from 10 to 60 qepiks. Each block was issued with an edition of 10,000 copies, and each of the souvenir blocks - an edition of 5,000 copies.

The 57th Eurovision Song Contest was held in the Baku Crystal Hall near State Flag Square. The semi-finals were held on May 22 and May 24 and the final on May 26.

The logo for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest was 'Fire Flower', while the motto was Light your fire.

Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
