Incidents on the contact line between Azerbaijani and Armenian troops remain matter of concern, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter said on Jan. 16 at the OSCE Permanent Council.

He said high-level contacts have intensified since the meeting of presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Vienna.

The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office also said that in the south Caucasus there have been some encouraging signs concerning Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in recent weeks.

Burkhalter stressed that Swiss Chairmanship of OSCE will support efforts of co-chairs of the Minsk Group through Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, who will also encourage contacts between the civil societies of Azerbaijan and Armenia and between experts.
