Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry has been informed on the detention of an Azerbaijani citizen by Armenian armed units, the ministry told Trend Sept. 6.
Earlier, Armenian media reported on the detention of Azerbaijani citizen Javid Mammadov on Sept. 5 on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops.
Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) was informed on the incident.
Javid Mammadov was handed over to the relevant structures.
