Armenian armed forces violated the ceasefire with Azerbaijan over 100 times within 48 hours.
Armenian armed forces broke the ceasefire with Azerbaijan 56 times in numerous positions on Mar.23, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Mar.24.
Armenian armed forces located in the village of Paravakar of Armenia's Ijevan district, opened fire at the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces located in the village of Kohnegishlag of Aghdam district.
At the same time, Azerbaijani positions located on the nameless heights of Gadabay district, underwent fire from the positions located on the nameless heights of Armenia's Krasnoselskiy district.
Moreover, Azerbaijani positions also underwent fire from the positions located in the villages of Talish of Goranboy district, Goyarkh, Chileburt of Terter, Javahirli, Garagashli, Kengerli, Sarijali, Shikhlar, Shuraabad, Yusifjanli, Merzili, Novruzlu of Aghdam district, Kuropatkino of Khojavend, Ashagi Seyidahmadli, Ashagi Veyselli, Gorgan, Garakhanbeyli of Fizuli district, near the village of Mehdili of Jabrayil district and on the nameless heights of Goranboy, Khojavend, Fizuli and Jabrayil districts.

Azerbaijani positions also underwent fire from the positions located in the villages of Gulustan of Goranboy district, Chileburt and Chayli of Terter district, Javahirli, Garagashli, Sarijali, Shikhlar, Shuraabad, Yusifjanli, Nemirli of Aghdam district, Kuropatkino of Khojavend, Horadiz, Ashagi Seyidahmadli, Gorgan, Garakhanbeyli of Fizuli district, near the village of Mehdili of Jabrayil district and on the nameless heights of Goranboy, Khojavend and Fizuli districts.
The opposing side was silenced with return fire.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
As a result of the ensuing war, in 1992 Armenian armed forces occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.
The two countries signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the US are currently holding peace negotiations.
Armenia has not yet implemented four UN Security Council resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
