Over the past 24 hours, Armenian armed forces 105 times violated ceasefire on various parts of contact line between Azerbaijani and Armenian troops.

Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry said Nov. 27 that Armenian military, stationed in the Voskevan, Dovegh, and Barekamavan villages of Armenia's Noyemberyan district, opened fire at Azerbaijani positions in the Gushchu Ayrim, Kemerli, and Gaymagli villages of Gazakh district.

Armenians, stationed in the Mosesgeh and Chinari villages of Armenia's Berd district fired upon Azerbaijani army positions in the Aghdam, Alibayli, and Kokhanabi villages of Tovuz district.

Azerbaijani army was also fired upon by Armenians from positions near the Talish and Gulustan villages of Goranboy district, the Chilyaburt village of Tartar district, the Shikhlar, Kangarli, Sarijali, Shuraabad, Yusifjanli villages of Aghdam district, the Kuropatkino village of Khojavand district, the Horadiz, Garakhanbeyli, Ashagi Seyidahmadli, Ashagi Veyselli villages of Fizuli district, and the Mehdili village of Jabrail district.

Armenian soldiers were also firing from nameless heights of Goy-Gol, Goranboy, Khojavand, Fuzuli and Jabrail districts.

Azerbaijani armed forces inflicted 107 blows on enemy positions.

The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. As a result of the ensuing war, in 1992 Armenian armed forces occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.

The two countries signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the US are currently holding peace negotiations.

Armenia has not yet implemented the UN Security Council's four resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
