The Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be discussed at the annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) in Georgia's capital Tbilisi, the OSCE press service told Trend May 24.

A delegation headed by the vice-speaker of Azerbaijan's parliament Bahar Muradova will take part in the session, to be held July 1-5.

The results of the 25-year cooperation of the OSCE member countries and prospects for development and deepening their relations will be discussed during the session, which is to be attended by nearly 300 parliamentarians, diplomats, political experts from 75 countries and representatives of international organizations.

The Tbilisi declaration is to be adopted after the OSCE PA session.

The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. As a result of the ensuing war, in 1992 Armenian armed forces occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts. The 1994 ceasefire agreement was followed by peace negotiations.

Armenia has not yet implemented four UN Security Council resolutions on withdrawal of its armed forces from the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding districts.
