РђRZU ABDULLAYEVA, TAKING PART IN PACE SUMMER SESSION, MET WITH ANDREAS GROSS

Chairman of the Helsinki Civil Assembly National Committee, Arzu Abdullayeva takes part in the summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), the Monitoring group of human rights organizations told Trend.

Abdullayeva, who is represented in the Monitoring group at the session, where problems of political prisoners will be discussed, was sent to Strasburg, basically, to observe this issue.

The Azerbaijani human rights defender has already met with the PACE rapporteur on Azerbaijan, Andreas Gross. Meetings of Abdullayeva with another rapporteur, Malcolm Bruce and a number of the CE officials are planned. She will report them on the current situation with the political prisoners in Azerbaijan, signed decrees on pardoning of the Azerbaijan’s President, activities and proposals of the human rights organizations Monitoring group.
