UNIFEM carries out work on elaboration of criteria on the basis of which monitoring of the National Action Plan 2000-2005 on female problems will be held. With such statement, Cristine Arab, the chief technical consultant of the UNIFEM project” Women in the name of preserving peace and preventing conflicts in South Caucasus”, came out on 27 June during the roundtable “Peking. 10 years after: achievements, problems and prospects”, Trend reports.

In Mrs. Arab’s opinion, the upcoming monitoring will allow to reveal the key gender problems, to decision of which a special attention will be paid while elaborating the National Action Plan for 2006-2010.
Meanwhile, the activities of the Ministry of Economic Development (MED) of Aserbaijan has been appreciated very highly.
