The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) wants peaceable resolution to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Elchin Shikhliskiy, the editor-in-chief of the daily Zerkalo, said after the meeting with Rene van der Linden, the chairman of the PACE.

According to Linden, В"the conflict sides should not live with the past, but look forward. Linden told that he himself was from a town in the border between Belgium and Germany. В"Unless in 1950s the heads of countries agreed upon close cooperation, there would not be such an intensive economic growth in the frontier regions,В" he underlined.

The same time Shikhlinskiy noted that in during the meeting they touched upon issues concerning the state in media, pre-elections situation, as well as the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
