INQUIRY ON SETTLEMENT WAYS OF NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT HELD

The Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) held an inquiry among the residents of Baku on settlement ways of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the KLO told Trend.

The organization holds inquiry every month from 1 September 2005. Only one question on possible settlement ways of the conflict was asked the respondents participated in the inquiry. The organization proposed to them three versions of answer such as �military way’, �peaceful way’ and �I found it difficult to answer’.

The inquired were dived into three age groups: youth, adult and aged peoples. Attending the first inquiry on 1 September were 1943 respondents. 49% of the respondents referring to the youth chose military way, 35% - peaceful settlement, 16 % found it difficult to answer.

The answers of the adults are as follows: 39% spoke for military settlement, 40% - for peaceful way and 21% - could not answer.

Meanwhile, the answers of the aged people are as follows: 50% - for military way, 35% - peaceful settlement and 15% - found it difficult to answer.

The results of the inquiry held on 1 October are different. 51% of the inquired youth, 49% of the adults and 50% of the aged people stated their support to the military way.

32% of the youth, 34% of the adults and 29% of the aged people support peaceful settlement of the conflict.
