The tenth fatality from the so-called "swine flu" was recorded in Georgia in 2011. As the Georgian National Center for Disease Control told Trend, the 50-year-old woman died this morning from the H1N1 virus at the Gudushauri Clinic.
She was in the hospital for a week, but remained in serious condition as she had waited too long to visit the doctors. She had also started to have complications.
Doctors have asked Georgians to seek qualified help after exhibiting the first signs of flu.
This is the 14th death from the flu in Georgia this year. Ten were recorded in connection with the presence of the H1N1virus.
