An armed clash between Turkish border guards and truck drivers from Syria occurred on the Turkish-Syrian border on Monday, Sabah newspaper reported.
A truck driver failed to stop despite being ordered to do so by border guards. As a result, the border guard opened fire on the driver, and a gun fight between the guards and a group of Syrians began.
As a result of the shooting, a border guard and a truck driver were wounded. The wounded were taken to nearby hospitals.
A criminal case has been launched.
