An armed incident occurred near the building of the ruling party in Istanbul, the Turkish newspaper Sabah reported on Feb. 13.
One member of the ruling party who was on the list of candidates for the municipal elections to be held in March this year, was killed as a result of shots being fired, according to the newspaper.
The ruling party states that the incident is not of a political nature, according to the newspaper.
