An earthquake measuring four on the Richter scale jolted Turkey's south-eastern Hakkari province, the Turkish newspaper Milliyet reported on March 18.
The earthquake occurred on March 18 at 08:16 local time at a depth of five kilometres, according to the Bogazici University Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute.
The earthquake epicentre was in the village of Kechitli in Hakkari province.
It caused panic among the local residents. No deaths, injuries or damage was reported.
