An earthquake, measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale, hit Turkey's south-western Balikesir province on July 3, the country's Haber7 TV channel reported.
The quake caused panic among the local population, however, no casualties or damage has been reported.
The tremors were felt in the neighboring provinces of the country as well.
