An earthquake struck off the Shamakhi region of Azerbaijan, according to a statement posted Monday on the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Azerbaijan.
The quake took place at 00:25 on Aug. 11, with its epicenter 28 kilometers north-west of the Pirgulu village.
The quake magnitude was three points at the epicenter. Tremors were not felt, the report said.
Shamakhi city is located in the north of Azerbaijan, 118 km away from Baku.
