An underwater earthquake jolted the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea on Sept. 9, according to a message from the Republican Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
The earthquake was recorded at 10:47 in the Caspian Sea, some 37 kilometers north-west of Azerbaijan's Gobustan District.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 3.3 on the Richter scale, while its center was at a depth of 55 kilometers.
