Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov received a delegation led by Kyrgyzstan's First Deputy Prime Minister, the Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Humanitarian and Economic Commission Co-chair, Tayirbek Sarpashev, the Emergency Situations Ministry said Sept. 10.

During the meeting Heydarov spoke about the work and structure of Azerbaijan's Emergency Situations Ministry.

He said that there is a close cooperation in various areas between the two countries, including in the prevention and addressing the consequences of emergency situations.

Heydarov said that the mutual visits by the delegations of Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz emergency situations ministries serve to further strengthening these relations.

Kyrgyz deputy prime minister, for his part, expressed his satisfaction with the economic development in Azerbaijan, and said the strengthening of cooperation in various areas of economy and in the prevention and addressing the emergency cases' consequences are of great importance for Bishkek.

During the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
