The flood prevention projects will be implemented in 20 regions of Azerbaijan by late 2005, the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers told Trend.
The projects, envisaging construction of dams and coastal fortification, will be carried out at the expense of a $23m privileged credit to be allotted by Asian Development Bank.
The experts will start the development of the projects soon. The work on the construction of the bridge over the River Shinchay in Shaki have been completed and the government allotted 8bn manats in this regard.
