A group of Azerbaijani rescuers and doctors arrived in Pakistan on Monday, the Consul of the Azerbaijani embassy in Pakistan, Dashgin Shikarov, told Trend .
The mission includes 25 rescuers and approximately 15 doctors. A resolution on dispatch of the mission to the zone of natural calamity was made after the appeal by Pakistani authorities. Along with $500,000 financial assistance Azerbaijan also rendered 1.5 tons of humanitarian assistance comprised of medicine, food, and things of urgent necessity.
Shikarov underlined that Azerbaijan is among countries which renders financial and humanitarian assistance to Pakistan, as well as support to rescuers and doctors. It is a manifestation of frank friendly and fraternal relationships between the two countries.
