“Over the last 9 months 1068 traffic accidents happened in the capital city [Baku] or 36.2% more as compared 2005 ,” Vagif Asadov, the chief of the Agitation and Propaganda Division of the State Traffic Police, told Trend.
“Over this period 294 people died or 96 more (49.64 %) as compared 2004, 1178 were injured or 313 more (36.1%) as compared 2004 at the accidents,” Asadov underlined.
The districts Sabunchu (80 accidents, 42 dead people and 90 injured people), Nizamy and Binagadi are in the lead in this regard. The lowest rate was registered in the Nasimy district.
Over the last 9 months 586 pedestrians were clashed or 55.8% more as compared 2004.
