Georgia, Tbilisi, April 7 / Trend N. Kirtskhalia /
Russia by all means tries to find a candidate for regime change in Georgia, Georgian Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili said in an interview with the newspaper "Kommersant".
"First there was Giorgadze, then Ebralidze, then Nogaideli and now Burjanadze. But this does not frighten us, because the authorities have the highest rating - 64 percent ", he said.
The minister called the idea of restoring the dynasty of Bagration in Georgia the "Russian project".
"After the appointment of Primakov on our direction, the idea of restoring the dynasty of Bagrations occurred. Representative of the dynasty was forced to marry immediately, forcing the bride to divorce her husband. But this project did not justify itself and the idea broke up, like marriage of Bagration ", Vano Merabishvili said.
He thinks that all these projects are doomed to failure, since the population of Georgia supports the government.
However, the minister refused to comment on the direct dialogue between the Orthodox churches of Georgia and Russia, noting that "only church relations can not exist between them.
