Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received Rachida Dati, French member of the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, Foreign Ministry's press service reported.
Expressing her satisfaction with her visit to Azerbaijan, Rachida Dati said she attended the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, shared her impressions about the meetings.
Welcoming the member of the European Parliament, Mammadyarov informed the guest about Azerbaijan's relations with the European Union, regional energy and infrastructural projects implemented with Azerbaijan's participation and prospects of Azerbaijan's economic development. Energy projects on the South Corridor were on the focus of attention during the discussion of the energy issues.
Dati underlined that these significant and strategic projects will play important role in ensuring the energy security of the European Union. Member of the European Parliament said she is optimistic about the implementation of these projects.
Other regional issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
