President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received today governor of Izmir Province of Turkey Mustafa Cahit Kirac and his accompanying delegation.
The governor said the ongoing construction works in Baku made great impression on members of the Turkish delegation. He said Baku was becoming one of the most beautiful cities of the world under the leadership of the Azerbaijani President. The governor noted the event held in Izmir with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev was very important for his country as well as the province.
President Ilham Aliyev said Baku and Izmir were sister cities, adding great opportunities existed to develop these relations even more.
The Head of State recalled his visit to Izmir with great pleasure.
The Azerbaijani leader expressed hope that Mustafa Cahit Kirac`s visit to Baku would contribute to developing this relationship.
