Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has received NATO Secretary General Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai today, the Foreign Ministry told Trend today.
The development of the Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation on Afghanistan has been discussed. The views on the development of this country have been exchanged.
Appathurai has appreciated Azerbaijan's contribution to the work of the International Security Assistance Force, including Azerbaijan's activity in peacekeeping operations.
Appathurai has also stressed Azerbaijan's growing influence in international arena.
