An informal meeting of foreign ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) was held yesterday in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly’s 67th session, Avesta.Tj reported.

An informal meeting of foreign ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) was held yesterday in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly's 67th session, Avesta.Tj reported.

As Tajik Foreign Ministry's News Department reported, during the meeting the ministers exchanged views on foreign-policy coordination and further interaction of the CSTO member states on key issues.

The sides also exchanged views on actualization of collective instructions to the CSTO member states permanent representatives to international organizations.

Heads of delegations heard a brief report of the CSTO Secretary-General on development of cooperation between the CSTO and the UN and the measures planned to enhance it.

During the meeting, the CSTO member states' foreign ministers made a joint statement on Syria and the situation around Iran.

It should be recalled that Tajik delegation is led by Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi at the UN General Assembly's 67th session.
