Azerbaijani Parliament has adopted a declaration to protest against the resolution of European Parliament, adopted on the issue of Rami Safarov and discussion of this issue planned for autumn session of PACE.

Azerbaijani Parliament has adopted a declaration to protest the resolution of European Parliament, adopted on the issue of Rami Safarov and discussion of this issue planned for autumn session of PACE.

The declaration notes that pressure has been exerted on Azerbaijan in this regard.

"This is the result of European double standard position. This biased position of international organizations toward Azerbaijan negatively affects settlement of Nagorno Karabakh issue", the declaration states.

According to declaration, Azerbaijan is an active member of Council of Europe We cooperate closely with a number of countries at a legal level.

"After release of Karpetyan and other terrorists, who had been life convicted for terror, committed in 1983 in France, they showed particular brutality during Armenian Azerbaijani conflict. Azerbaijani Parliament states that Armenian armed forces, who threaten South Caucasus, are still continuing the occupation", the declaration says.
